What does the Next Level Business IT program look like?

Year 1

Training in process optimization with IT and personal professional development

In the first year of the Next Level program, you will learn how to make business processes smarter and more efficient through the use and optimization of information technology. Every month, you will have a Next Level training day at one of our training locations. Sometimes the focus will be on specific IT hard skills, other times on personal professional development.

At the organization where you work, you will be involved in concrete improvement projects. This often means helping to improve or implement existing IT solutions so that processes run better and faster. Examples include implementing/optimizing ERP and WMS systems, building workflows with low-code/no-code applications, analyzing and providing insight into data-driven processes, and optimization with AI. In short, you will be realizing improvement initiatives where process and technology come together. In addition, you will follow training courses in the field of personal professional development. Good to know: these training courses are officially recognized by the SPEN (Stichting Permanente Educatie Nederland) as higher professional education level. These training courses focus on themes such as talent development, resilience, change management, and cultural diversity. In addition to the training courses, you will receive intensive guidance from a dedicated Talent Coach, who will help you grow in effectiveness, reflection, and ownership.

Process optimization & IT training

The program focuses on immediate practical impact. You will not only learn the theory behind process optimization and improving IT systems, but also apply it directly at the organization where you work. During the program, you will analyze business processes, formulate improvement proposals, and actively participate in optimizing or implementing IT solutions that contribute to smarter and more efficient business operations. This may involve improving existing systems, configuring new functionalities, optimizing data flows, or building dashboards. You will learn how to successfully supervise projects from analysis to implementation and aftercare, with a focus on both standard solutions and customization. In this way, you will develop into a Business IT professional with an impact at the intersection of process and technology – and you will deliver immediate added value for your client.

Personal professional development

This part of the Next Level program focuses on your personal and professional growth. You will learn to understand yourself better: what drives you, where do your talents lie, how do you make decisions, and what sometimes holds you back? During the training sessions, you will examine your thought patterns and learn to view situations more objectively. You will gain insight into how you collaborate, communicate, and exert influence in a changing environment. Themes such as resilience, talent development, change management, and cultural diversity are central. And you will immediately apply what you learn in practice. For example, in your Business IT project, where you will collaborate with various stakeholders and deal with change and resistance. In short, you will develop yourself and the skills to make an impact.

Year 2

Personal leadership

We continue your journey of discovery in personal and professional leadership. In your first year, you deepened your self-insight, became more aware of your resilience and energy balance, and learned how communication works and how to deal effectively with resistance. In the second year, the focus shifts. You take more control. In change, in leadership, and in the steps you want to take.

With topics such as constructive feedback, team dynamics, advising & influencing, change management, and managing for impact, you will develop further as a professional and as a leader. You will discover how feedback can be a powerful tool for growth: you will learn to give feedback with impact, to be open to what others give you in return, and to turn tension in conversations into connection. In addition, you will delve into the dynamics of teams. You will learn to recognize the phases of team growth, understand your role as a member or leader, and practice how to intervene effectively at crucial moments to strengthen collaboration. You will also work on your advisory and influencing skills. You will discover how personal leadership forms the basis for authentic advice and how you can use clear insight and conviction to get others on board with change. From that basis, you will continue to build your change management skills. You will learn how to really make change happen: inspiring people, using interventions in a targeted way, and working together towards change that is widely supported within the organization. Finally, in the module on managing for impact, you will develop your organizational sensitivity. You will learn to translate the organization's course into the workplace, stimulate a culture of continuous improvement, and provide coaching leadership, with attention to both people and results.
