Our NextLevel program is now accredited at the post-secondary level

Our Talent Coach and Program Coordinator, Renske Arkink, has been working intensively over the past few years to further develop the NextLevel program. In this blog post, she explains what post-bachelor’s accreditation means and why this step is so important for NextGen.

corporate identity element 'Improve' NextGen

Eleven years ago, NextGen set out with a clear mission: not only to match professionals with the right roles, but also to help them truly grow—not just in knowledge, but also in ownership, personal effectiveness, and leadership. Driven by this conviction, the NextLevel program was created: two years of learning and doing, right in the heart of the workplace.

We’ve reached an important milestone: our program has officially received post-secondary accreditation!

The accreditation was granted by CPION, an independent body that evaluates, certifies, and registers educational programs.

To me, that feels like confirmation of what we’ve believed in for years.

Why this accreditation?

For us, this accreditation isn’t just a marketing checkbox. We believe that professional development during secondment should meet the same standards as the work our professionals perform. When you work with highly educated talent, their development program should be designed to match that level. That’s why we chose to have the program externally evaluated.

Post-baccalaureate accreditation isn’t something you just get. You have to demonstrate that your program’s content is sound and that its structure is well-established. The NextLevel program has therefore been evaluated on learning objectives, depth of content, assessment, faculty quality, and quality assurance.

This called for a critical review of our program: what we do, why we do it, and where we can further strengthen it. Educational expert Elke Kamphuis helped us bring the program up to the standard expected of a post-bachelor’s degree program.

We are constantly improving; it’s in our DNA. That’s why we keep asking ourselves: are we still doing the right thing? Society is changing, so our program evolves with it.

What does this mean for professionals?

For professionals, this means that you will be pursuing an accredited post-bachelor's degree program while working.

In practical terms, this means:

  • An officially recognized post-secondary diploma;
  • Demonstrable development at the post-bachelor's level;
  • A stronger profile on your resume for your next career moves.

But more importantly: by completing the NextLevel program, you demonstrate that you are actively taking control of your career. You show that you are consciously investing in your development, that you can reflect on your own behavior, take responsibility for your growth, and are willing to step outside your comfort zone.

What does this mean for clients?

For clients, this accreditation means that your professional’s development is not just an empty promise, but part of a structured program that has been externally evaluated.

In practice, this is reflected in professionals who, among other things:

  • Make an impact on your own more quickly;
  • Taking ownership and thinking ahead;
  • Effectively implement and embed improvements within the organization;
  • Achieve higher retention by helping employees feel more grounded in their roles and within the organization.

So you’re not just bringing in capacity—you’re bringing in professionals who have a proven track record of growth and who will make a lasting contribution to your organization.

A logical step

For me, this accreditation mainly confirms what was already clear. We’ll keep doing what we do best: identifying talent, matching it with the right role, mentoring it, and helping it grow through hands-on experience. But now we have recognition that shows just how well we do it.
