Quality Officer, Liquids Division at Abbott
As a Quality Officer, you will work alongside colleagues on the quality team to ensure and improve quality within the production environment. Together, you will support operations and serve as the organization’s quality conscience. You will work closely with various departments within the organization, including production, operations, and other quality departments.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and tracking quality deviations in production on a daily basis. You will play a key role in investigating, assessing, and documenting deviations, and you will contribute to the timely and responsible release of products. You will regularly be on the production floor and serve as the first point of contact for quality-related questions from operators and supervisors. The role is dynamic: priorities can change quickly, and time and market impacts play a role. You are able to maintain a clear overview and combine quality awareness with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
What else are you involved in?
In addition to the above tasks:
- Analyze and resolve quality deviations and record them in Abbott's quality systems;
- Are you responsible for initiating, monitoring, and documenting corrective and preventive actions;
- You will assist the department with internal and external audits and inspections;
- Do you ensure that documentation is updated in a timely manner or that new documentation is prepared when process changes occur?
- Do you serve as an advisor and sounding board for the operations team on quality issues;
- Do you proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take steps to prevent or reduce deviations?
- You work closely with QA Operations to validate and release batches under time pressure.
What do you own?
- At least a college-level education and ability to think critically;
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar quality assurance role is preferred;
- You have strong communication skills, are approachable, and know how to engage stakeholders;
- You are flexible, detail-oriented, able to handle stress, and eager to learn;
- You enjoy a dynamic, production-oriented environment;
- You combine analytical thinking with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
