Production Manager Paint Distribution

A pivotal position in which technology, people and innovation come together. In this role you will lead a small, close-knit team that is responsible for the heart of the automatic paint process. Together, you ensure that every truck cabin receives the perfect coat of paint, down to the drop of a hat. You are the driving force behind continuous improvement, team development and the introduction of brand new robotic systems.

As Production Manager Paint Distribution you have a varied and influential role. You lead the (small-scale) departments where technology, chemistry and automation come together: the pump room and partly the paint application process. Together with your team of operators, you ensure that the right lacquer, in the right quantity and quality, reaches the robots at the right time.
You are not only a coach and inspirer for your people, but also a technical sparring partner for engineering, maintenance and quality. The coming years will be all about renewal: Scania is replacing all robots and pump installations. You play an active role in this project and ensure that your team goes through this transition smoothly.

Your duties will include:
- Lead and coach a small, self-managing team of operators working in a three-shift system;
- Ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in the automatic painting process;
- Analyze process data and implement improvements;
- Actively contribute to the renewal of paint robots and pumping systems;
- Collaborate with engineering, technical service, quality and logistics;
- Encourage knowledge sharing and advancement within the team;
- Function as lynchpin between people, process and technology

What do you own?
- A completed college or university degree in chemical engineering, technical business administration or similar;
- Preferably you already have leadership experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Affinity for automation, chemistry or process engineering;
- Communication and coaching skills, you know how to move people;
- Analytical thinking skills and a keen eye for process improvement;
- Willingness to work two shifts (with flexibility in schedule);
- Enthusiasm, eagerness to learn and the ambition to continue to grow
