Operations Buyer
Purchasing is more than just placing orders. At Bufab Flos in Eindhoven, we are looking for an Operational Buyer who wants to be part of the purchasing department’s transformation toward greater professionalism. Operations Buyer at Bufab Flos
The procurement team at Bufab Flos is on the verge of a major change. While today’s operational buyers primarily place orders based on instructions from Sales, the department is shifting toward category-based procurement with genuine commercial responsibility. You will be one of the people helping to shape this transition.
You’ll work closely with an experienced purchasing coordinator who will mentor you, and you’ll report to the Purchasing Manager. You’ll quickly take on responsibility for a specific purchasing category and actively contribute to smarter ways of working. It’s not just about execution—it’s also about improvement.
What you can accomplish
- Ensuring that materials and services are available on time and under the right terms;
- Manage your assigned product and supplier database within a purchasing category;
- Monitoring KPIs, reporting to stakeholders, and escalating issues when deviations occur;
- Processing purchase orders in the ERP system with a focus on error-free record-keeping;
- Actively maintaining and optimizing supplier relationships;
- Coordinate internally with Sales, Quality, and Logistics;
- Contribute to process improvements and a more efficient way of working within the department.

What do you own?
- HBO-level academic and intellectual ability;
- Some work experience in a procurement or operational role, or a demonstrable interest in procurement;
- Assertive and a strong communicator, you’re not afraid to speak your mind and address others;
- Analytical and meticulous in document management and ERP use;
- Proactive, independent, and team-oriented;
- Customer- and solution-oriented, with an eye toward the long term;
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;
- You're energetic, take the initiative, and bring a positive energy to the table.
