Design Assurance Engineer
Design Assurance Engineer at Abbott Do you want to make a real difference with what you do? As a DA Engineer at Abbott, you will work on medical nutrition that is used daily for vulnerable target groups worldwide. In this role, you will ensure that new products and product changes are accurate, safe, and comply with laws and regulations. This is an analytical entry-level position with a lot of responsibility, in which you will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations within a leading international organization.
What will you do?
- Guiding new products and product changes from R&D to production.
- Translating recipes to production scale (plant trials & first commercial runs).
- Assessing nutritional values, specifications, and stability data.
- Analyzing trends and deviations in existing products.
- Support with quality issues and production issues.
- Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Operations.
- Assessing whether products comply with laws and regulations in each country.
- Prepare and maintain documentation within the quality system.

What do you own?
- A completed higher professional education degree, preferably in: Food Technology, Chemical Technology, (Bio)Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, or Dietetics;
- Affinity with food, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing environments;
- You have strong analytical skills and work in a structured and accurate manner;
- You easily switch between different stakeholders;
- You speak and write Dutch well;
- You are eager to learn, independent, and enjoy unraveling complex issues.
