Continuous Improvement Specialist at SIKA Netherlands

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be the driving force behind the professionalization of the factory in Deventer. The production organization relies on years of experience and craftsmanship, but still lacks the right structure, processes, and system support. You will help bring this to fruition—step by step, in a practical way, and with a focus on the people on the shop floor.

You will work closely with the Plant Manager and colleagues from production, planning, logistics, and IT. Your shared goal: a factory that operates efficiently, safely, and with an eye toward the future.

Your duties will include:

  • Mapping, improving, and standardizing production and planning processes;
  • Assisting with the SAP system redesign and improving inventory management and capacity planning;
  • Analyzing data and identifying bottlenecks in efficiency, safety, and delivery reliability;
  • Building support for improvement initiatives within the production departments;
  • Initiating and overseeing improvement projects related to visual management, organization and cleanliness (5S), and process reliability;
  • Serving as a sounding board for the Plant Manager on operational and strategic improvements.

Why work through NextGen?

We hear you thinking: why work through a staffing agency? Well, because we are not just another staffing agency. We are much more than that. In addition to your work, we will work with you on your personal and professional development. How? Through our Next Level program.

During this program you will get to know yourself (even) better. You will discover where your talents and qualities lie. But also how you can make the most of them. Of course you do not do this on your own. You follow the Next Level program together with a group of like-minded people. And you will receive intensive coaching and guidance from one of our Talent Coaches, who will be assigned to you from day one. For your professional development, you will start working with your LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt. You'll engage in hands-on process improvement.

In short, you fill your backpack that will benefit you for life. Sounds good right?
