In Memoriam Menno Zweegman

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our colleague, trainer, coach, and friend Menno Zweegman passed away on February 20, 2026. Menno was more than a Master Black Belt. From day one, he was the foundation of NextGen. Even in the early years, when NextGen was nothing more than an idea and a dream, Menno was ready to shape the Green Belt program. His enthusiasm, craftsmanship, and commitment were essential to the creation and growth of our company.

corporate identity element 'Improve' NextGen

For ten years, Menno guided our young, highly educated professionals in Supply Chain and Operations with a combination of expertise, friendliness, and sharpness. Lean and Six Sigma were not just methods to him, but a conviction. He was an authority in his field and a source of inspiration for many professionals.

Menno knew how to make complex content accessible. He set high standards, but always with the aim of helping people improve. He was critical, warm, sincere, and always approachable. He ensured quality, structure, humor, and above all: trust.

Menno also worked on developing the Next Level Program: tinkering, improving, refining. Everything that NextGen is today bears his signature.

In 2025, on our 10th anniversary, we established the Menno Zweegman Award: a lasting tribute to his legacy and his impact on our organization and on the profession.

Menno was proud of NextGen. And we are proud of him. Of his work, his character, and everything he has meant to our people, our customers, and our company.

We will miss Menno enormously. As a professional, but above all as a person.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones.

On behalf of all current and former employees of NextGen:

Thank you, Menno.
For everything.
