Technical Process Engineer at Scania

The painting process at Scania is a fascinating one. Using the latest technologies, the plastic cab and chassis parts are painted. Exactly as the customer wants. With 22 automated painting robots, the painting process is carried out fully automatically. And as a Technical Process Engineer, you are responsible for translating the technical aspects of the process into concrete improvements. You will be involved in various optimization projects spread across the entire production process. That is what makes this role so cool! In these projects you focus on the technical support. You are also responsible for your own projects.

So what are your duties?

  • Advise and support various projects/Engineers;
  • Elaborate improvement proposals that you initiated yourself;
  • Coordinate and implement project-based improvements to increase efficiency;
  • Analyze and process data, statistics, test results and perform root-cause analysis;

Furthermore, you are also involved in improving technical solutions within the factory. And you proactively engage with the Swedish holding company and various paint suppliers.

What do you own?

  • Graduate degree in mechanical or automotive engineering;
  • Several years of relevant work experience and affinity for JIT and LEAN;
  • Experience with technical drawing (autocad);
  • Possesses good communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • You largely recognize yourself in: results-oriented, enthusiastic, hand-on mentality, shows ownership, results-oriented and are socially minded.

  • Full-time position of 40 hours;
  • Immediate permanent contract;
  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;
