Process Engineer Water
A paint shop doesn't just run on technology. It also runs on the right chemistry. As Process Engineer Water at Scania in Meppel, you will ensure that the process behind the paint stripping installations not only runs stably, but also becomes smarter and more efficient. From scrubbers and skimmers to decanters and power washing systems: you have a keen eye for waste, investigate alternatives and drive improvements. Together with colleagues, suppliers and the people on the shop floor. Do you have the drive to make a real impact?
Process Engineer Water at Scania
As Process Engineer Water, you will focus on the paint washing installation (scrubbers, skimmers and decanter), the power washing installation and the water treatment. You optimize the chemical "peripheral processes" involved. The paint washing plant takes care of creating paint waste by capturing the overspray of the paint robots that paint the chassis and cab parts as efficiently as possible.
With your expertise, you research the optimal chemical composition in the right price-quality ratio. Initially, it is important to get a grip on the operation: where is waste, which techniques are currently being used, and how can it be done smarter? Then you bring the process under control and make proposals for structural improvements. In this way you work towards a more proactive way of working.
In this you will work closely with:
- an immediate colleague responsible for another part of the process,
- three process operators,
- the paint specialists within paint shop engineering,
- and plant suppliers.
