Continuous Improvement Manager

For Goedhart Borgesius in Hedel, producer of bread, specialties and pastries, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist. Continuous Improvement Specialist at Bakker Goedhart
As Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for mapping and optimizing the business processes within Goedhart Borgesius. In terms of improvement initiatives, there are many projects that could use your attention. Initially, the standard for all processes must be drawn up. Based on this, attention will be paid to the bottlenecks and possible improvements in order to ultimately create a streamlined process. The organization is very dynamic and the role offers a broad, challenging and varied range of tasks. You will work closely with and report to the bakery manager.
Your duties will include:
- Initiate, plan, implement and secure improvement projects within the plant;
- Maintain a project agenda with improvement objectives based on which you make improvement proposals;
- Building work instructions to make employees aware of the importance of your improvement proposals and their impact. To this end, you organize project groups and provide internal training. You do this in collaboration with the production manager, logistics manager and team leaders;
- Analyzing data in results, trends and deviations and reporting on this basis to the bakery manager. In addition, you actively think along in ensuring continuity in terms of process improvement.

What do you own?
- A completed college or university degree in Technical Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar;
- Experience with process improvement is a plus;
- You have communication skills, can convince others and are committed;
- You have an eye for detail and think in terms of possibilities and solutions;
- You are proactive, and can work well independently;
- You enjoy working together and are not afraid to take the lead

Baker Goedhart
Goedhart is traditionally a family business founded in 1895 in Oude Pekela. Since then, the organization has grown to 11 production locations. Goedhart produces bread, specialties, pastries and sandwiches for customers in retail, petrol or food service.
The Kerkrade location is primarily focused on producing floor loaves. Floor loaves have different properties than canned bread, which in turn makes them very different from the other loaves made by the organization. This makes the Kerkrade location unique.
