When does this privacy statement apply?

This privacy statement applies to all data of stakeholders collected and processed by NextGen. We collect your data from the moment you leave them on our website.
You complete an online form if you apply for a vacancy through the NextGen website. This form asks for your details needed for the application. You can also upload your CV and cover letter. We collect these data in our system. We can also collect personal data through a personal and/or phone interview, through your references, or when provided in writing.

If you have expressed your interest in NextGen, we will store your e-mail address and possibly your telephone number. We will contact you and we will remove your data from our system if it turns out that you are no longer interested in NextGen. If we match and we may have something to offer each other at some point, we will store your data to keep you informed of vacancies that match your wishes and needs.

We can also collect data if you have placed these on a public platform which reveals your potential interest in NextGen and our services. If this is the case, we will contact you and ask you if you are interested in learning more about NextGen and your possibilities. We will ask for your permission to process your data in accordance with this privacy statement. If you are not interested, we will process your data to fulfil your wish not to be contacted by us.

Why do we collect your personal data?

NextGen collects and processes your personal data to provide our services (secondment). More specifically, your data will be processed to:

  1. Provide you with information about NextGen to enable us to determine together whether and how NextGen can help you with your career. We can better adapt our communication to your wishes and qualities by collecting your information.
  2. Assess whether your background matches the vacancies of NextGen and its clients.
  3. Enter and maintain an employee or staff/mediation relationship. This requires administrative acts which involve your personal data.
  4. Process your data for our clients. They can assess whether your profile matches their vacancies.
  5. Fulfil our management purposes, including carrying out internal checks and audits.
  6. Meet quality purposes such as certification.
  7. Comply with laws and regulations when we hire you, including identification, labour laws, tax and social security laws, combating fraud and sanction laws.

How long will we keep your data?

Your provided personal data, including CV and potentially a cover letter, will be kept for a period of 4 weeks after the application procedure ends. If you have given permission for a longer retention period, we will ask you after a period of one year whether we may keep your data for another year. This aims to keep you informed of new vacancies and to approach you if there is vacancy which matches your background and wishes. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Your data will become part of your staff file if you are hired by NextGen. In that case, your data will be processed to implement an employment agreement.

NextGen can share your personal data with our clients. This will only take place after you have given permission to share your data with this specific client. NextGen can in certain cases be required to share your data, for example, based on an injunction or court ruling.
