Your personal growth plan

The Management Development programme of NextGen

Working, learning and continual improvement. During NextGen’s Management Development programme, you combine working in a practical setting with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course. What’s more, you work on your Personal Professional Development and build a network with other talented professionals in Operations & Supply Chain.

The first year:

Green Belt and personal professional development

You work on a concrete improvement project within a leading organisation. In addition to your work, you spend a few hours a week on your Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course. You are trained and coached by one of our Master Black Belts, as per the standards of the ASQ (American Society for Quality). Further, during this year you will work on your personal professional development.

Each month you attend the Management Development day at our training location in Dalfsen. In the morning we study theory, and after lunch you present the progress of your project to your fellow students. You share your experiences and give each other feedback.

Together with you, we decide at the end of the year whether you should enter employment with the client or rather participate in the second year of the Management Development programme.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course is bespoke and is designed for training improvement and project managers. Our Management Development programme offers you an optimal learning experience: you apply your new knowledge directly to a project, while at the same time realising tangible results for the company you are working for. After completion of the course, you may call yourself a trained and certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Personal Professional Development

This part of the programme focuses on teaching you to get to know yourself (even) better. Why do you do what you do and not always what you want to do? What motivates you and how can you focus better on what is really important to you? These training courses give you insight into yourself and how you function in interaction with others.

The second year:

Personal Leadership

In the second year of the Management Development programme, you further work on your personal development, with a focus on Personal Leadership. You gain greater insight into your own personality and learn to effectively apply your leadership qualities to achieve the desired results together with your team. After each session, you will get to work in your own professional situation with practical assignments related to the subjects covered.

You will also follow a bespoke course of your choice, appropriate to your career ambitions.

Bespoke course

In addition to your work, you will follow a bespoke course at a leading educational institution. Together with you, we determine which study is suited to your career ambitions. In the second year, we also combine content (knowledge and expertise) with personal development (conduct, attitude and skills).

Leadership development

Using workshops and practical experience, you develop the leadership qualities you need in the current dynamic corporate world. You learn to connect by recognising and respecting different standpoints and you develop the capacity to form cohesive (virtual) teams. Because change is a constant factor, you are introduced to various models of change management and learn to apply them in your own working situation.
